There you've likely heard guys go over the basics of how to optimize internal linking and how it relates to search engine optimization. If you enjoyed the content in that video, why not leave a comment below and subscribe to this newsletter? We're always on the lookout for new things that will make us a little more efficient in our search engine optimization efforts.
One thing I have noticed that really helps search engines in ranking articles for certain keywords is internal links to that page. By internal linking I mean links from other blogs or articles within your own blog.
In other words, don't simply link to your own blog or website with internal links, instead use internal links to direct traffic to other sites that have similar interests. I know that sounds a little silly but it works.
For instance, if you are trying to rank for "how to build muscle" in the Google Blogger SERPs, link to my Muscle Gaining article and then link back to your own site. The more links you have, the more authority your site will gain from Google. And, you'll receive visitors from the various blogs or articles on the Muscle Gaining blog post. In essence, they've all helped to optimize your site for that keyword phrase.
Of course, we want to keep the links coming from people who are interested in the subject of your site, not just Blogger and Google Bloggern. So, link to other blogs, not just your own site by leaving comments on their content, this way you also show them you are an expert in your chosen area and they're more likely to link back to you'll gain some more popularity in the search engine rankings.
Finally, don't worry about optimizing internal links only for your own site. In fact, I encourage you to start linking to other sites in order to increase your overall SEO effectiveness because it shows people what you are all about and makes it look like you care about other people's interests.
If you're not using internal linking strategies at your blog or website, you're simply wasting your time and doing yourself no favors with Google Search Engine Optimization (SEO). It's not that difficult to implement, although it would take a little bit more time, and the rewards are tremendous in terms of traffic, links, and search engine optimization.
With all the time you are wasting on internal linking strategies, why not put some of that time into other SEO techniques, such as adding meta tags, optimizing your website content, writing quality articles and submitting them to article directories and building your list. These will take time, but they will reap benefits that will help you gain more search engine ranking for any keywords that you're interested in.
To recap, you should always optimize internal linking within your blogs or websites to drive more traffic, improve search engine ranking, improve your online visibility, increase your page rank, and drive more targeted traffic. If you can accomplish these tasks, you're well on your way to gaining success with Search Engine Optimization and being in control of your online presence.
